Michelle & Jose
May 3, 2008
Ceremony: Mission de Alcala Church
Reception: Mission Valley Marriott
Floral Design: Excellent Designs
I’ve been such a slacker with my blog this past week! But I’ve been dying to post the pictures from Michelle and Jose’s wedding last weekend in San Diego. They were married at the beautiful Mission de Alcala Church, with reception following at the Mission Valley Marriott. Here are just few of my favorite shots from the day. It was so hard to choose which ones to post!

After the ceremony, we went to Presido Park for portraits …

They had cartoon artists during the cocktail hour. What a great idea!

This past Saturday, we were finally able to finish up Gaby & Mike’s engagement session at Baker Beach. Fortunately, this time we had beautiful weather, and a gorgeous sunset. Gaby & Mike were so creative! I can’t wait to see what they come up with for their wedding.

Gaby has never lost a game. Saturday was no exception!

Jenell & Clayton
April 25, 2008
I love Jenell & Clayton. We had so much fun leading up to their wedding that I just knew the day of would be a blast. During their engagement session, I was laughing so hard the entire time, I could barely hold the camera still :) They were married yesterday at the beautiful Clos La Chance Winery in San Martin. Here are a few of my fav shots from their wedding …
Clayton’s “last supper” …

I have been DYING to blog about this for over a week now!! About a week and a half ago, the fabulous Armando of Get Your Do Up & I teamed up to bring to life a concept we had dreamed up several months back. OK, time to back up a bit. A few months ago at the Wildflower Linens premier, I met Armando. We hit it off immediately, and as we gazed at the brightly colored linens decorating their showroom, inspiration struck. And a concept was born. A concept which finally became a reality a week ago.
Remember Sandra? Sandra & Julio were married last September at Guglielmo winery. We had such a blast shooting her portraits on her wedding day. What I loved about Sandra was her willingness to do anything I asked her to in her wedding gown. Nothing was too crazy! So when it came time to find a bride willing to not only climb back in her dress, but get down & dirty, Sandra happily volunteered.
The concept: Take a real bride, and deck her out gyDOu style. And to all you brides out there: even if you get a flat on the way to your wedding, Armando will make sure you look fabulous.
Special thank you to Karen of Grandiflora who provided the beautiful bouquets for the shoot.

This is part one of a two part post. Saturday I was out photographing Gaby & Mike at Cañada College. Gaby & Mike actually met at Cañada. So it was only natural they’d want their engagement photos taken there.
When Mike said he’d jump up on the horse sculpture, I didn’t actually think he’d climb on the horse!! What fun :) I have a feeling we’re going to have a blast on their wedding day.

They brought along their backpacks to recreate their school experience. I love this shot of them “playing hooky” from class ;)

They have the cutest four month old pug puppy!!

Isn’t he adorable???

I spent Monday morning with Ella, a beautiful 4 month old baby girl. We had so much fun playing among the pretty flowers at Gamble Gardens. She was such a great model!

What better way to spend a Saturday evening than shooting an engagement session with my awesome clients, Ananda & Sean and their son Tyas. We started at the Palace of Fine Arts, then raced to Baker Beach just in time for the sunset. The timing worked out great. As we arrived, the crowds were leaving, and we were able to get some great beach shots.
Ananda & Sean are getting married in Tahoe this July, Trinidad style. Can’t wait! It’s going to be a blast :)

I love this shot of Tyas. He was a great assistant :)

This was a busy weekend for me, starting with Kira’s six month portrait session. I just LOVE the blue top her mom picked out! Doesn’t it make her eyes even bluer?

I just love the expression on her face!

Stay tuned for lot’s more posts from this weekend’s shoots!!

While in DC last week, in between hanging out with friends and family, I had a couple of portrait sessions. One of the sessions was for our family friends’ baby daughter, Rose. After months of waiting, it was amazing to finally meet baby Rose, and the meeting was made extra special with our session.
